Formats for Real Happiness Workshop
Distance Learning/Self-Study
We recommend that you take this workshop in an in-person group setting. However, we know that this may not be possible for everyone, so we have designed a Self Study/Distance Learning option. To take advantage of this option, please order the Self Study /Distance Learning Package. It costs $360 and includes the following materials.
- Complete Real Happiness Workshop Participant Manual by Paul Ferrini
- Eight Spiritual Mastery Books by Paul Ferrini
- Enrollment in our 13 week Real Happiness Teleconference designed by
- Paul Ferrini and taught by one of our Certified Teachers.
This combination of resources will provide you with as close to an in-person Workshop experience as is possible. Should you decide that you wish to teach this Workshop someday, you will already own many of the materials required for Teacher Training.
Facilitated Study
If you decide to take this workshop in person with a teacher, you will need to purchase the first two items above (Real Happiness Participant Manual and 8 Spiritual Mastery books). The cost of these materials is $180. Your facilitator may have books and manuals available for you to purchase. Otherwise, you will need to purchase them directly from Heartways Press, Inc. by visiting the website www.heartwayspress.com or by calling 1-888-HARTWAY.
There are three types of facilitation offered for the Real Happiness Workshop:
- Facilitated by Paul Ferrini at one of his Real Happiness Weekend Workshops
- Facilitated by a Certified Teacher trained by Paul Ferrini
- Facilitated by a Registered Teacher
Paul Ferrini charges $360 tuition for a weekend workshop and a minimum of 40 paid participants is required. Materials costs are additional, as are room/ board/travel costs, if applicable. Paul Ferrini’s Weekend Workshops may deal with all three phases of the Real Happiness Work or they may concentrate on teaching one or two phases in depth.
If it is not possible for you to work with Paul directly, the next best option would be to work with a Certified Teacher. Certified Teachers attend a minimum of two professional trainings and two in-depth spiritual retreats with Paul. Some have done considerably more work with Paul. Certified Teachers receive referrals from Paul and help him to teach the Real Happiness Workshop in cities all over the world. For more information on training to become a Certified Teacher, see the information below. A list of Certified Teachers with their classes/workshops is listed on website (www.paulferrini.com).
If a Certified Teacher is not available in your area, you can study this material with a Registered Teacher. Registered Teachers have completed at least one workshop, retreat or training with Paul Ferrini and have passed a general proficiency exam. Many of them are in our Teacher Certification Program.
Structures/Timeframes for Real Happiness Work
Full Weekend Workshop (Friday – Sunday) 21 – 24 Hours
One Phase is taught each Day.
This is the format most often used by Paul Ferrini and other Master Teachers of the Real Happiness Material. The tuition for this format is $360 per person. The cost of materials – and room, board and travel if applicable – would be additional.
Six Saturdays Sessions or Three Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
(10:00 AM – 4:00 PM with lunch break). One Stage is taught each day.
This is the format most often used by Certified Teachers who offer the workshop at the
local level. The cost is also $360 and is payable in 3 installments of $120 each (due on the first, third and fifth Saturdays). Material costs are additional, but there would be no additional expenses for room, board or long distance travel.
Twelve 3 hour Evening Sessions 36 Hours
(7:00 --10:00 PM) One Step is taught each time.
This is the format most often used by Teachers in Training who offer the Curriculum as a
12-week study group. A free Introductory session is followed by 12 weekly sessions that
are offered on a suggested love offering basis of $270 payable in 3 installments of $90
per phase. Material costs are additional.
Teacher Training Program
Teachers, Psychotherapists, Clergy and other human service professionals who work with people in the area of emotional and spiritual healing are invited to apply to the Real Happiness Teacher Certification Program. A formal application must be submitted, along with a current resume, color photo and short bio for the website, 3 references, and a non-refundable application fee of $49. Paul Ferrini personally reviews all applications. Accepted candidates for certification are required to attend 2-3 Spiritual Mastery Retreats and 2-3 Teacher Training Sessions with Paul Ferrini during the first year of the program. Paul determines the actual number of retreats/trainings required on an individual basis with each participant. Required retreats/trainings are to 4-6 months apart.
After completing these requirements and demonstrating conceptual mastery of the material, program participants will be given Provisional Certification (PC). This enables them to begin teaching the Real Happiness Workshop in their communities. All teaching experience must be documented and submitted for review, along with class lists and completed student evaluation forms. Certification will be granted when Paul determines that the candidate demonstrates the capacity to teach the full workshop and model its principles. Certified Teachers are given referrals and are recommended to potential workshop sponsors when Paul is not available to teach. They are part of a dynamic team of healers helping this work move forward all over the world.
Teacher Training Materials
All candidates for Teachers Registration or Certification must purchase and study the following Teacher Training Materials.

- 9 CD Laws of Love Teachings
- 5 CD Seeds of Transformation Talks
- 2 CD Mastery Talks CDs
The cost of the first two items is $198. The cost of the remaining four items is $252. The total cost if you purchase all of these as a set is $450 and in this case we will provide free shipping (USA only).
Teachers in Training
Most people become Teachers in Training within the context of the Teacher Certification Program.
To be accepted as a Teacher in Training, you must meet these requirements:
- Apply to the Real Happiness Teacher Training Program and be accepted
- Attend a Retreat/Training or Real Happiness Workshop with Paul Ferrini
- Begin to study the 8 Spiritual Mastery books and audio CD sets by Paul Ferrini
Requirements for Provisional Teacher Certification
- Attend at least 2 Trainings/Retreats with Paul Ferrini
- Complete the Real Happiness Teleconference taught by one of our teachers
- Demonstrate conceptual understanding by passing a general proficiency exam on
each phase of the Real Happiness Material. Once you pass the exam on each phase,
you may teach that phase.
- Offer an Affinity Group at the local level
- Participate in bi-weekly mentoring calls
- Agree to use the Real Happiness Teaching Materials as intended and in a
responsible manner.
Teachers in Training may begin to teach any Phase of the Real Happiness Curriculum on
which they have been successfully tested. For example, once they have passed the exam on the Introduction and Phase One of the Curriculum, they are permitted to do the following
- Begin giving Introductory Talks on the Roadmap to Healing and Transformation
- Begin to teach Phase One of the Real Happiness Curriculum and offer a 4-Evening
Weekly Study Group. Since this will be there first time facilitating this material,
we suggest that it be offered on a donation or suggested Love-Offering basis.
They will teach one step per week and complete the four steps of Phase One. After successfully concluding their Phase One Study Group, they may apply for Provisional Certification to Teach Phase One. Upon receiving Provisional Certification, they can begin to charge the $90 fee for the
4-Evening Phase One Study Group. A similar process would be followed with Phases Two and Three of the Curriculum. Candidates for Provisional Certification must submit complete participant registration data and student evaluation forms as documentation of their teaching experience.
Provisional Certification for teaching each phase of the material is granted to those who understand the material in that phase, have completed the experiential work associated with that phase, and are able to teach and model the material with confidence. Most people can earn Provisional Certification in 9-12 months (3-4 months on each Phase of the Curriculum).
Teachers may retain all of their revenues, but they and their students must purchase all books, manuals and other Curriculum materials from Heartways Press, Inc..
Requirements for Teacher Certification
Candidates for Certification must have Provisional Teacher Certification for all three Phases of
the Real Happiness Curriculum. In addition, they must meet the following requirements:
- Attend 1 or 2 additional Trainings/Retreats with Paul Ferrini
- Facilitate bi-weekly mentoring calls with 2 –3 new students
- Participate in Ongoing Teacher Training Telephone Support Groups
- Keep a Teaching Journal documenting your experiences
- Continue to offer Introductory Real Happiness Talks in order to recruit students
- Teach at least one series of 6 Saturday Workshops, one on each Stage of the Roadmap
- Teach at least 3 Full Weekend Workshops, one on each Phase of the Roadmap
- Provide complete registration data and student evaluations as documentation
for all Real Happiness Workshops taught.
- Request one-on-one mentoring as necessary with the Teacher Training Coordinators.
Fees for this additional service will be posted on the website.
- Submit the within one year from the date of Provisional Certification:
1) Detailed facilitator workshop journal with an honest self evaluation of your
teaching performances, indicating areas where you feel improvement is necessary.
2) Recommendation for Certification from the Teacher Training Coordinators
3) Plans for teaching for the nest year, including a schedule of future Real Happiness
Workshops or speaking engagements that you have booked.
Most people can complete the full Teacher Certification process within 2 years of entering the Teacher Training program. Once awarded, Teacher Certification must be renewed on a annual basis. Certified Teachers must provide evidence of recent teaching experience and show that they have obtained and are using the latest updates of the teaching materials.
Master Teacher Certification
To obtain the Master Teacher Certification, you must document three years of active teaching experience facilitating Real Happiness Workshops. Paul Ferrini must have seen you teach the material at retreats and trainings. You may also submit a video tape/DVD showing you teaching. This is important if you wish to have us book you as a speaker or workshop facilitator when Paul
is already booked for the dates requested.
