The manual describing how to facilitate the Affinity Process is Living in the Heart: The Affinity Process and the Path of Unconditional Love and Acceptance by Paul Ferrini. If you are interested in the Affinities Process, you should begin by reading this book (click here for more information on this book). At least twice per year, we hold an in-depth Retreat that offers participants an in-depth experience with the Affinities Process. If you are interested in the Affinities Process, you might want to consider attending one of these retreats (click here for more information on retreats). Each year some retreat participants make a commitment to facilitate groups as a first step toward becoming teachers and mastery students. A weekly support group for facilitators is often available by telephone. For information on this group, please contact Raimonda (raimonda@videotron.ca). Occasionally, Paul goes on tour and presents in-depth workshops around the U.S. and abroad that introduce participants to the Affinity Process. If you can assist in bringing one of Paul's workshops to your community, you will have the chance to see how he facilitates the Affinity Group Process and the opportunity to link up with others interested in being in a group. The Miracles Community Network is the non-profit organization devoted to the building of spiritual community around the world using the Affinity Process and the concepts in Paul's books. Since there is no charge to join an Affinity Group, support for the work must come through volunteer energy and donations. Your time and energy, as well as your donations are needed for this grass-roots spiritual community building process to go forward. It is with your arms and legs and your voice that these principles will be made known in your community.

As an Affinity Minister, you accept a twofold spiritual practice. First, you accept the practice of learning to love and accept yourself in each moment. To facilitate that, you use the mantra "Am I loving myself right now?" periodically throughout the day and spend at least fifteen minutes in silence each day offering love and acceptance to yourself. Second, you accept the practice of extending love to others whenever the opportunity arises. In this context, extending love means accepting other people as they are in each moment without trying to fix them. To facilitate that, you attend an Affinity Group once per week to practice giving and receiving unconditional love and support. These two practices help build a structure into your life for deepening in your capacity to love and accept yourself and others. In addition, it is important that you stay in touch with Paul and the community of people you meet at the retreat. That way you re-experience the closeness and connection you felt and you recharge emotionally so that you feel confident extending the process in your home community. Many of you come to an Affinities Retreat seeking the light. Hopefully you leave the Retreat having found that light in yourself and feeling ready to shine it at home. There are people around you who are hungry for that light. They just don't know where to look for it. You can help them look in the only place they will find it: inside themselves
